Peony fragrance!!

At last! A little sunshine out in the open air again. So wonderful to go out and sit down at the peony bush and enjoy the wonderful fragrance of the flowers. They bloom so quickly, and then it's so long to enjoy them again.

Pecan Pie!!

Pecan Pie with ice cream and coffee!! Always I use to buy a french roll to the coffee, but today I felt I "deserved"  the pie. An hour before the cab would drive me into town, I fell backwards straight down into the floor. I must have taken a false step in some way. I was lucky I not hit my head, but all my back and backside. I never thought I was able to stand up again. But I did after a while. Please remember me in your prayers, that my back will be alright again. It hurts rather much so I have to take pills.

You can´t complain about the pronunciation on these 
two swedish words!! In Sweden it´s Midsummer Eve on Friday 
and Midsummer Day on Saturday. Wish you the best!!

Sjung om Studentens lyckliga dar!!

“Sjung om Studentens lyckliga dar” which means “Sing about the Student's happy days” is a famous Swedish song. It suits very good for those who graduated from high school today, or for us who have graduated once! 

This card I mailed yesterday. Hope it arrived today!

and the last is Till Mor "For Mother" Blå Pense "Blue Panse"
from Pion Design as well as the paper with the stamp is also from Pion Design. The stamp is from Rox Stamps, the Spellbinder I used is from Scrap o Hobby, the lace from Villa Solnäs.

I was listening to a troubadour tonight!!

National Day!!

Today June 6 it´s National Day of  Sweden!!
National Day is to remember the day when
Gustav Vasa was elected King of Sweden 1523.
Although the 1809 form of government
(in force until the entry into force of the 1974 Form of Government)
issued on 6 June.

Previously celebrated June 6 as the Swedish Flag Day
and it was only in 1983 as the day was recognized as National Day.
Since 1996 the National Day is one salute day,
and from 2005 it´s a National Day, also a public holiday.

This year we could also look the same day at
Venus Transit the sun in the early morning.

I tried to look at it before going to bed, but the trees                    
obscured the sun!! I didn´t feel going out in my sleepwear
to find a better place to use my preposterous spyglass!!
It was only 2C (35F) outside the window, so I went to bed!!
